Club Calls continues to be a “fun” event – enjoyed by all who participate.

There were 105 logs submitted this year, though there were also a number of stations with over 20 QSOs that took part, but did not submit a log. Conditions were unanimously described as poor (or similar) and local “noise” seems to be an increasing problem for many on Topband.

Several logs were submitted in the incorrect format which caused quite a bit of work for the adjudicator. Can I remind operators to please update their logging software to the latest version and to check their cabrillo file before submission?

Congratulations to the Bristol Contest Group, who win the David Hill, G4IQM, Memorial Trophy as the Leading Team. In fact, the top three Club Teams have been the same for three consecutive years, with Camb-Hams and Wythall RC coming 2nd and 3rd this year.

The individual leading station was Geoff Plucknett, G4FKA – also from the Bristol CG – who wins the Ariel Trophy.
