RSGB Contest Results Overall UKAC 2012
v4.144 by G4CLA

The UKAC series of contests have once again proved to be very popular with the year on year activity increase seen in previous year’s continuing. This year 113 different clubs participated, up from 97 in 2011, 80 in 2010 and 60 in 2009.

In the Club Competition Bolton Wireless Club have yet again managed to win all 6 qualifying events to score the maximum 6000 points and win the BWC Trophy. Such a result requires extremely high levels of support and commitment from their team members, congratulations to you all.  In second place this year is the Spalding & DARS, jumping up from 9th place last year.  An even bigger jump from 38th place last year sees the Travelling Wave CG move up to 3rd spot.

This year we have also calculated the overall scores for all the individual stations taking part, collated irrespective of the sections they entered. To be listed anywhere near the top of this leader board takes extraordinary levels of commitment and competitiveness. So with that in mind we congratulate the Cams-Hams station of G3PYE/P on an outstanding performance. Not far behind are the single-operator stations of Andy, GM4JR and Richard G4HGI, well done on achieving such excellent scores across so many different bands.  In all 533 different stations sent in an entry for a least one Tuesday evening activity contest during 2012 and many more were active across the length and breadth of the UK.
