RSGB Contest Results 2022
v4.145 by G4CLA

SHF UKAC November 2022

Tropo conditions were very poor for the November session, and as rain scatter was not apparent, the only DX available was by aircraft scatter. Scores were generally lower than usual.

Annual Summary

72 stations entered on 2.3GHz this year (down 3), with 3.4GHz remaining static at 34, and 5.7GHz also maintaining a similar level at 25 entries. 10GHz marginally increased from 39 to 40 entries. Tropo conditions have generally been quite poor during the year, the higher two bands have benefited from some rain scatter enhancement, and aircraft scatter provided some DX on the lower bands.

No reports of interference to the primary user on 2320MHz have been received again this year.

No changes to the rules are envisaged for 2023.

Stations wishing to take part in the 2.3GHz events are reminded that they should register their station with Ofcom, and also hold the relevant notice of variation if they wish to use 2300-2302MHz.

Congratulations to Pete G4CLA who retains the G3UVR Trophy as the overall winner of the SHF events.
