G4WGE
Wow - an early CC session with half decent conditions. What
next....Sunspots?

G4ZFE
Great condx for January. K3/100 and trapped dipole at 28 feet

G7PVZ
Next time - a better antenna!! Very noisy location here, high noise floor. Will try again from another location next time. Thanks to everyone!! TX - Icom 703 (10 Watts)

G7VRK
Here we go Again

GM0ELP
Using a K3 and a doublet this year. QSB and QRM sums up this evenings CC. Nice to hear everyone again in the new year. The band was busy every 200Hz or so. If a G was calling a G they got in before me with no exceptions, so patience was key this month. Happy new year to all and thanks for wrinkling me out from the QRM.

GM3JKS
Could not do full session

GM3POI
Poor Condx this time

GM3ZRT
Felt at times no one heard me!

GM4OSS
Very high noise levels. This was my worst Q rate since
I started CC.

GM4UYZ
Could only manage 40 minutes so thought I would give it a try.
Hopefully will get on longer on the next session as enjoyed what I did. Aim is to try and get my CW speed up and be able to take a run as at the moment I am not confident doing so. New Years Resolution..

GW0ETF
Surprisingly lively for mid winter but still only managed my
now usual mid-80/90s qso count....

GW3KDB
FT1000mp 100 Watts. Doublet at 45Ft.

M0AAA
Great fun. Better start than last year.

M0AEU
Great to get back to the Club Championship, after missing it completely last year... Good start for me!

M0CES
Did not expect so amny on at this time of year.

M0CNP
Had some teeting problems last night resulting in lower than usual score. Things can only get better. Thanks everyone for the points.

M0DDT
Not the usual early-year propagation. I wonder why?

M0KOP
missed the 80M CC over the break nice to be back to them

M0MDF
condx were good and using SD was great.

M0RBG
Very enjoyable start to cc 2009

M0VBY
Great Condx - Great Fun - cu next time

M0XIE
My first CW contest so feeling my way slowly :)

M3WCK
Nice to have a contest after a long break

M5ALG
1st one of the year and hopefully not the last

MM0BQI
Great to be back and some good conditions. 100w to a low trapped dipole, works great!

PA0FAW
Signals were not strong but stations were good workable
activity seemed to be quite ok, 3520-3530 were too many
signals,in the end of the band,it was good to operate,
although with my pover antenna I don't call cq, wkd
stations for the wabarea for the new award.tnx points.

PA0MIR
Well the first contest of the year, hope to participate many more
times and make lots of contacts. Always trying to improve but getting to 100 Q's in 90 minutes is hard. Well, we'll have to see where we will get with dipole and 100 Watts.

SM7ZDI
I have moved to Sweden, but I'm still a member of the
Bristol CG and the RSGB.  My UK call is G0WKW.

YL3DX
Ic-756proiii 100w; ant dipole.

SOAPBOX:

2E0CVN
Started a little late but ended up finding a good run freq and keeping up a good rate for the rest of the contest

2E0FFQ
Plenty of activity throughout. SD lightened the load

2E0IMW
My First Ever Cw Contest

G0CLP/P
First contest for over 15 years! Great fun can't wait for the next leg even though it was so cold! Some very strong signals only 2 cases where stations called cq on top of me! Condx good but heavy qrm

G0DAY
A very good night, going on last years Feb contest, I thought that this Jan. was going to be the same, how wrong you can be, all S&P a good evenening.

G0DVJ
checklog only for short stint

G0EUN
Very noisy, crowded and too fast operation.

G0EYR
On a bit late Band rather noisy here in the town

G0FYX
Lots of activity. Condx good. Enjoyable.

G0IBN
SD was good. Sorry everyone for repeats heavy QRM

G0LHZ
Great Fun - band went quiet at 20:50 but still made
lots more contacts

G0MRH
Tail-end entry this time but 'every little helps'.

G0OKF
Tough going for me.

G0PSE
Band conx poor - but sd was perfect

G0VDZ
I do love my new aerial. 360 feet of wire in the air. Lovely

G0WWD
Very good conditions

G3GLL
SD worked fine with Winkeyer. Nice to have these club contests back again. Conditions seemed good here. The usual first hours rush, then bit of a struggle.- a good contest !

G3IZD
Conditions did not favour the extreme NW of England. Hearing stns in S giving big numbers to stations in EU which i could not hear. The early start in January patently a success in UK generally.

G3KLH
Much more fun with so many stations participating

G3KNU
Conditions better than expected

G3LDI
Conditions a lot better than expected. No split E44M problems either! Still cannot compete with other areas of the UK however, very frustrating!

G3LET
Just managed 30 minutes at the end, after late return from a NY break.  Conditions gave the impression of a much higher level of solar activity than last spring, with no noticeable skip.  Just missed out on a final QSO with 2E0FFQ due to running
out of time.

G3LHJ
Thanks for the extra month again. condx were great
lots of activity

G3LZQ
Had to download SD as for some reason N1MM would
not work at the last minute..not allowing QSO Logging.

G3MIR
Condx hard going

G3OLB
Excellent conditions - the contest was one long run!

G3PSM
First time I used the HF9V in a CC and guess it didn't match up to the 80M dipole for obvious reasons. I hope to have both up for CW AFS to compare the difference.

G3SHF
Nice lively contest to start the year.

G3SJJ
Excellent 1st hour with 101 Qs, then Vista played up, had to reboot so lost my Run Freq. Good fun anyway and the K3 performed very well

G3TBK
Better conditions than I dared to hope for. A lot of deliberate QRMing, including an idiot sending CQ with my call. Hope not too many worked him. FT1000MP, dipole at 75 ft.

G3UJE
Conditions much better than expected for Jan.  Very enjoyable.

G3VCA
Better propagation than I thought it would be.
Using a 2 wave delta loop & ICOM 756 pro111

G3VCQ
Trying out new FT857d tonight in preparation for next BERU.  Found the filtering could be a lot better and had great difficulty in sorting out signals especially weak ones!  Eventually got to grips with it and it performed reasonably well never close to my FT1000mkV Field I might add though! Good conditions with heavy QSB inter UK in the last half hour. Lots and lots of weak stations I think mostly G stations but nice to hear so much activity! Happy New year all.

G3VDB
First attempt - interesting experience

G3VIP
Rig ic7000 10w - 40mtr end fed lw - homebrew logger
hny to all. Nice surprise condx good, plenty of stations

G3VMY
New ant.First trial on 80m.

G3VQO
An average of one a minute - much better than expected
conditions seemed generally good but with some QSB

G3VYI
Very good  condx  to G later on. Lots of  activity. New Key helped a lot. Auto keying should be discouraged in these short tests!

G3WRR
Local noise level of S9 + 10dB, so it was all S&P! But
worked nearly everything I could hear. Band much more
lively than expected for early January!

G3WVG
FT1000mp (100w version) + dipole at 70ft
Unusually good inter-UK propagation for January.

G3XVR
Conditions were good, but the new SO2R controller had a few teething problems.  Apologies to G3KAF when my TX ended up on his frequency for a couple of minutes while my RX was on my very quiet run frequency.

G3YHV
Band conditions seemed good for january cc

G3YMC
Not one of my best, although there was plenty of activity my QRP signals had a problem getting through, and I also had a fairly noisy band. It did seem easier to work longer distance stations so perhaps the winter conditions are prevalent.

G3ZBU
I thought it may be an interesting experiment to try
a vertical but had to call people many times before
getting through except for stations on the Continent.

G3ZGC
Purpose jamming for 20 minutes otherwise a good contest
Rig IC7700 100w to approx 130ft wire wrapped in 55ft garden.

G3ZHE
Much better than I thought with the critical freq below 3Mhz
10w into 90ft doublet at 30ft 73

G4AIU
A good start to the year.

G4BUO
Wow! I would have settled for 121 Qs in a January CW contest, but I fear I'm nowhere near the leader board. Great conditions and great level of activity

G4BXT
Hard going! Only got the 80m antenna up this
afternoon while slipping and sliding on snow!

G4DDX
How totaly different from last year. Nearly my best score on the first night. Can't be bad. I enjoyed the contest and using SD. Unfortunately I cannot improve my antenna.

G4EBK
Conditions very much better than expected.

G4ELZ
enjoyable

G4FAL
Great conditions for the first contest of the series. In previous years we have struggled to get our RF further than Rotherham from Sheffield. This may not be the year that the Mighty Blades are promoted but hopefully Sheffield ARC will surge up the table!

G4FKA
Fair score for January for this part of the country. Happy New Year to all participants. Off we go again!

G4FNL
The propagation gods seemed to shine down on me for
this first event of the CC calander. My thanks to
everyone for the QSO's. See you in the next one

G4FON
Much better conditions that I expected! A good contest

G4GZB
Enjoyed the 90  minutes! Got a few,but missed many!
SD was a real help to this old codger!

G4LMW
Good opener for the year. Conditions a lot better than expected. FT-897 10w off centre fed 80m dipole at 25 feet.

G4OGB
Fair condx for Jan.

G4OSB
A nice armchair session. I drifted along at my own pace

G4RCG
This was supposed to be the worst session but it was
great. Started half way up the band and never stopped
getting calls until 9.10 when I went S&P to find the
ones that had not moved. No QRM and nice big signals
made it a most enjoyable contest. No M3's though

G4RLS
Very noisey at this qth (line time base)also minor conflict with a local TV set making the need to move into the QRP section Thankyou to all those with good ears who heard me

G4TSH
No time to do anything but operate from the domestic QTH here, complete with S8 noise floor. However conditions seemed to be good and found I was able to run stns despite the low power and small vertical better suited to working DX.  Keying problems with Win-test and Microham that caused a few embarasing  moments and could not make the "Insert" message work for 95 out of 97 QSO's!  Also found that the
antenna was only resonant at the bottom end of the band, so the SWR was a tad high by the time I was tuning above 3530! Might have made the ton had it not been for these small problems. FT1000, Butternut HF2V
