GM3POI
Better Condx in Orkney than the CW event

GW4BVE
Intra UK conditions improved later in contest. An earlier start in winter would encourage club to club contacts.

M0AAA
Picked up in the last 10 mins of the contest. Looking
forward to the summer Club Championships.

M0ANM
Conditions very difficult, had problems with antenna after first
half hour.

M0CES
Horrible conditions up here on the east coast

M0CNP
First 45 munutes, the band was dead, then suddenly high
noise until about 2110, then the band opened up brilliantly, but too late! Thanks everyone for the points though. As usual a thoroughly enjoyable contest

M0WTG
very poor conditions, not heard much untill 9 pm

M0XDX
Band conditions dire until 2100 then sudden improvement
suddenly the band was full of G's. My 1st 80m cc,enjoyed it.

M0ZAR
1st contest. Enjoyed, but stressful !

M1PTR
Slow start with bands dominated by european stations until 2100 when inter-G opened up. Very enjoyable.

Only a short foray this month. Typical 'January' conditions until
shortly before the end.

M3XYC
I'm pleased with my first venture into contesting.

SOAPBOX:

2E0RFS
Band conditions poor but interesting.

2E0SEW
Great Fun

2E0TQR
Tnx for enjoyable 90 mins

2E0ZIP
GROOVY First time in a contest.

DG4DW
Mni tnx for the nice short contest. It was very funny.
When i have time, we hear us in the next contest.

G0AAA
FT1000MP (100W version) + Dipole at 70ft.
Usual poor uk propagation for January. Very tough going.

G0AJJ
Very heavy cold....lost voice and only managed a single contact!

G0CLP/P
Total wall of qrm across both sections of the band. Some very strong G (not local) signals wonder what antennas are being
used? Very hard going but easier after 2100

G0EYR
Very noisy band improved after about 20.45

G0FYX
First hour was a real struggle. Long skip. Last half hour the band was lively. SD logging program worked well as usual.

G0GDU
Ft1000 ,100w, w3dzz sloping to east with centre @ 40ft
very noisy at start, picked up in last 15minutes.
Strongest in last 10 minutes were M3RCV(59+10ddb) & M3WYX (59+20db) both much stronger than G3ORY?

G0GFQ
Difficult and strange conditions

G0JLF
Dire

G0KYS
On late.   Conditions terrible!

G0LGJ
Terrible conditions poor inter G

G0MLY
Lots of continental QRM - hard work!

G0MRH
Absolutely awful conditions until the last half hour

G0NUZ
Hard work for so little results

G0OKF
An occasion which makes me wonder why I participate. Will think hard about next SSB contests. My antenna is not up to the job

G0VDZ
Hard work, for very litte.

G0VGS
Really strange conditions with long skip. I do think it is about time that some stations were checked for exceeding the 100W limit.

G0WJX
Very noisy band

G1BHR
Had a cold and lost my voice after just one QSO!

G1FON
Please give your C/S phonetically everybody!!!

G3HRH
Poor conditions for inter-G contacts
Band only opened in last half hour

G3IZD
Very strange conditions, big signals from Channel coast up here to  Cumbria but little in between. Obviously those operating from areas of high activity able to make biggger scores. However the January start to the contest was not the disaster I envisaged.

G3LDI
I nearly gave up in disgust at the propagation for the first hour. I heard one very loud station, G3OLB, and then a couple of weak stations. I then heard G4RCG at S-7. I spent ten minutes calling him, air getting bluer, until finally he suddenly came up to S-9 plus and I did manage a QSO. It was a struggle until 9 p.m. and managed a run to get to 82. When GM3POI gave me 77 to my 13 I wondered if my gear was working! The critical freq was below 3.5MHz and gradually increased. Maybe we should have started at 9 p.m.!!

G3LHJ
Crazy condx again - certainly not a even playing field the GM's having all the fun, and thanks to EU stations coming on, why did you bring back January again ?????

G3LIK
Very poor condition and difficult to make QSO's. Lot of stations were running a lot more than 100W which is against the rules and they should be penalised. With AFS etc in January think these contests should start in February to save the voice calling.

G3MXH
Found the band very poor for uk stations until within 1/2
hour of the finish. Would kave been very slow if the
european stations hadn't joined in!!!

G3NDJ
Condx tough for first hour

G3NFB
Worst yet. Condx appaling for most of the contest.

G3NPF
Very odd conditions at the start but picked up later.

G3OLB
Dreadful conditions until the last 5 minutes when the skip suddenly shortened!

G3PDH
Difficult to understand the propagation on such nights. The odd loud G and one way paths!

G3PHO
Terrible conditions! Please go back to a February start next year.

G3PSM
Diabolic band conditions for the first hour!

G3RHH
Hard going due to long skip and QRM

G3RRL
Very noisy and few signals up to 2100 then improving to

G3RSD
Slow to start with then picked up towards the end

G3SHF
Dissappointing conditions until last 20 minutes

G3SNU
Hard going with constantly changing skip condx.

G3TBK
Very poor conditions for first hour, then suddenly improved. FT1000MP, 100W, Dipole at 75 feet

G3TKF
Someone switched the G stations on at 2120

G3TXF
You know there's something odd happening when you can barely hear or work any stations at all within about 200 miles, but there's GM3POI up in the Orkneys giving you nr 86 just 27 minutes into the contest!

G3UJE
SOAPBOX: Started slowly with deliberate QRM'er and long skip.  Weak G's at first but improved considerably by second half.  Scores improved the further north you are!

G3VCA
Ventured out of bed with the man flu for this one. I did not find it easy or enjoyable.

G3VDB
Just dipped in for a few minutes

G3VIP
RIG IC7000 - 10W - 40mtr LW - homebrew logger
Only made last 30 mins just as signals came up

G3VPW
Very hard going, no where as many stns as in last
weeks CW event.

G3VUS
v poor condx in NW England initially a few G's only

G3YHV
a looney kept jamming us !

G3YOA
Signals poor for first 45 min and then slowly improved

G3ZBU
Dire conditions until nearly the end when things became
almost normal.

G3ZGC
Conditions poor at the start with GMs doing well but shortened suddenly just before the end. The IC7700 display in seconds went from noise to signals. Rig 1C7700 100w to 132 ft wire wrapped into 55 ft garden. A real struggle for my antenna tonight especially with S9 electrical noise.

G3ZHE
critical freq 2.75Mhz at start. one black hole in north cheshire

G3ZRJ
First SSB contest for many a year, difficult to describe the conditions without resorting to expletives.

G4ABX
BAND conditions were very poor for inter G working

G4BXT
It was like one of those science fiction movies where a fog covers an area and nothing can get in or out.I honestly thought there was a problem with the antenna about 15 minutes when the band came to life in North Kent!

G4DBS
A very difficult contest due to conditions
SD is the only contest logging software that I use

G4DDX
After the good conditions for the cw leg it was a
dissapointment to find such poor conditions. It was
hard work but still enjoyable. Used SD as usual which
makes it all so easy.

G4DZL
I used SD for logging - it's great.

G4EFO
poor band conditions at start. 1st time user, nice programme

G4ELZ
Changing skip

G4FAL
Conditions picked up dramatically in the last period

G4FKA
I knew the CW leg was too good to be true. Back to the usual dire January conditions in this part of the world!

G4FNL
Conditions were as expected - awful. Compared to my
previous weeks exploits in the CW event, my SSB score is halved. It's amazing what a difference a few days can make.

G4FSU
Terrible conditions, almost no Gs audible at first,
picked up a little after 20:00.

G4HSU
100w FT897 Doublet at 4m

G4KNO
Awful for first hour, but skip shortened in last half hour to allow CQ-ing.

G4LMW
Very tough conditions. Europe booming but very few Gs for first half hour. 100w, dipole, FT-897

G4LWA
V long skip at outset. Suffered continuous S9+10 noise floor throughout and eventually a few stations emerged through it. SD was easy once I had re-familiarised with it after a 6-month gap. Hope to have located and cured noise before next leg.

G4LWB
High noise/qrm for first half of contest
improved later with many continental stations on air

G4OOC
Sorry to say it was a disaster for me
However SD worked perfect as usual

G4RCG
This was a strange test, started so slow with stn's very weak then they came up for 10 mins then went down again, in between the EU stn's were +20bds I had a lot of fun, even the jammers failed to shift me !!

G4VUD
Very long skip, had problems hearing people

G4WGE
Thought the CW session was too good to be true - so normal service resumed...... awful conditions, especially when you are QRP! Did half and hour, got fed up, went to pub instead!

G5JJ
Conditions were unusual in the SW - plenty of long
skip signals. Few inter UK QSO's.
Tried out SD-1417, it worked very well.

G5KC
Band conditions poor - constant changes in propogation
Good to see 80m CC's again - great to use SD !!

G6FOP
dire conditions

G6UBM
Long skip and slow at start, OX nice!! Picked up at end

G7SHG
Conditions very very bad,as expected in january but thanks to all stations for there points

G7SKR
Appalling conditions from here in Cheshire. All long skip to
Europe. The last 15 minutes saw an improvement in conditions but that wasn't long enough to make any real headway.

G7VRK
Hard work to night  lot of noise on here

G8FMJ/P
poor conditions until last 15mins

G8YMW/P
Cndx awful but picked up @ 2100hrs. Noticed some deliberate jamming. To the jammers, the conditions did more damage than you
