G4FSU
Good to start the CCs again. Long skip condx prevailed so some weak Gs but all good fun. Happy New Year!

G4IUF
Slow start poor prop picked up later

G4LMW
Great after about 9pm. Plenty of EU activity when skip was long beforehand.

G4OGB
Poor condx at first but picked up nicely.

G4OSB
Easy armchair activity

G4RCD
Missed all 80m CCs in 2009 but now QRV from new QTH.  Conditions difficult at first but improved later in contest.
Operator rather rusty after the long break.

G4RCG
G's were very weak to start with but came very good
at about 20.45 the EU's were very loud from the start
glad to see so much activity on for the 1st CC

G4TSH
Part time effort conditions picked up nicely towards the end.

G4WUG
Good Game Good Game! Condx not bad for the 1st one of the year. 100w to a windom and N1MM (Working well) Cheers to all for the points.

G4ZFE
Some stations not sending QRL? before a CQ resulting in QRM. Last 30 minutes were fun the other 60 minutes slow.
K3/100 to trapped dipole at 27 feet.

G6AY
It would be nice if people would QRL? first before jumping on a frequency. I know who you are!

G7SKR
Off to a slow start for the first CC of the year.

G7SOZ
Interesting conditions!

G8MIA
Coditions were poor for the first hour (continentals and GM's mostly) then picked up for inter G for the last half hour.

GM0ELP
Elecraft K3 100w Doublet Great condx great fun thanks to all who worked me

GM0OGN
10 second power cut (a local hazard) at start so paper logging and post contest log

GM3ZBE
Paul really has got the ESM facility nailed in SD. Very good conditions from GM land guess the Critical wasn't making it up to 3.5MHz tonight.  Makes a nice change not to be battling thru a wall of G stations!

GM3ZRT
band very busy tonight....

GM4OSS
Great wee contest

GW3KDB
Guess this is the month that the GM stn are top of the pile.
thank goodness for the PA Stns.It was hard work.
FT1000mp. Dipole at 45ft.

GW4HBK
corrected log re-entered

LY9A
FT-1000MP Dipole

M0AAA
Some good EU stations around

M0CNP
The skjip was such tonight that only distant stations could be worked. A good start to the 2010 contest season. Thanks for the points and HNY

M0JCM
First time on a CW contest - not easy

M0MDF
For the 1st 80m CC This was a lousy effort !

M0NQN
Where did everyone go (except GM/PA land) for the first hour?

M0RBG
After a slow start very enjoyable first contest of 2010

M0TUB
Struggled tonight!!

M0XIE
Computer failed and I lost patience! ;)

M5ALG
first one of the year. dificult conditioms at this location with QRP. Back up antenna used as main mast frozen

M6FBK
Noisy band here

MM0BQI
Great to be back!!

MM0GPZ
Inverted L not best for this CW contest, neither is the operator. Good fun and thouroughly enjoyed.

MW0CVT
Noise, noise and more noise!

MW0RZC
nsy band slow going

ON3ND
Always very pleasant to give one point to the British friends... HNY and 73 for everyone...

PA2PCH

A bit chilly (about -7) but good to be back
happy new year to everyone

G0CLP
Very poor condx until 2100
some big signals in the south 599+++ couldnt hear me!

G0DAY
Hard going at first but at 21 hours propergation
changed and it was good going from there to the end

G0DVJ
Very long skip. Very good EU participation. Disappointing score first of the season. Started late due to Windows s/w issue

G0EYR
SD worked well! Very strong GM signals tonight

G0FYX
Interesting skip condx. Good fun.

G0GDU
Skip long and hard work for 1st 45 minutes conditions improved as skip seemed to shorten towards the end

G0GFQ
A bit rusty but enjoyable

G0IBN
no problems with sd where was everyone. called cq for 30 mins with 2 reply. last 30 minutes a lot better

G0LGJ
1st CW contest...

G0LHZ
First CC of the year - brain was a bit slow!

G0MLY
Very difficult conditions from the Midlands for me. It really helps when stations QRS to the speed at which they are being called though and sadly many do not. Also some stations CQ SO fast that one wonders if it actually helps their final score as they will be missing a lot of callers who need to take time to decode the callsign.

G0MTN
QRV last 40 minutes. Came on whilst repyling to emails expecting watery signals apart from strong GMs. Surprised at the rate....

G0OKF
Odd band conditions - like curates egg

G0ORH
Condx very poor long skip at start never peaked down south. The GM's had all the play es big signals.

G0RAF
so many people on !!

G0RPX
Very noisy band

G0TZZ
Destroyed laptop just before start. new screen now needed, blast!!

G0VDZ
Hard going at first but picked up later.

G3GLL
A good night for Scotland and EU otherwise a bit of a struggle with poor signals. A good contest

G3HRH
Very high local noise level. Apart from GM band only came to life around 21.10. Used SD which is so reliable unlike my typing

G3IZD
Very poor condx initally best sigs from orkney
and Sussex. Improved steadily from 2040 with sigs from
rest of UK. Strangely the vertical ant was better

G3JRM
After using de-icer to gain access to the shack and warming it up I found the band very lively to GM could not find a clear run freq so s&p the  order of night so lower than average effort from the tip of east anglia

G3KAF
Apologies to those stations who called and I was unable to read. OfCom attempting to trace the source of the S9+5db noise.

G3KKP
Used SD as usual  - performed much better than
the propogation for me !

G3KLH
Severe problems until 20with computer

G3LDI
Usual January long skip to start with but about 9 p.m. it improved

G3LHJ
Quite a challenge for Qrp tonite band  noise plus weaker sigs good skip to GM & PA from down here in the deep sw. CU in the next one.

G3LIK
After a slow start the band began to open for inter G working nice to hear a lot of familiar calls

G3MXH
Found band very noisy at first

G3NFB
Condx quite good for January compared to previous years' contests. Thanks to all OMs who persevered with my QRP sigs.

G3NKS
Poor conditions for first hour.

G3OLB
Band sounded very noisy and long skip at the start but improved as the event unfolded! Think the GMs had the advantage.

G3PHO
Awful conditions for most of the session. Matched the -7C WX outside! As usual in January the GMs were streaking ahead from the start. I couldn't get a run until 2042 and even then it wasn't a good run! Wintest cw keyer played up at times and also had a sticky paddle. Roll on next month and better condx. 73 from a freezing Sheffield.

G3SEM
Rigged aerial in a layby in the snow as unable to get home in time. Ran from generator in a "Whie Van"

G3SWC
Plenty of GMs at the start. The rest was a struggle
but inter-G improved in the last 20 minutes

G3TKF
Conditions rubbish - and so was my hardware interface
apologies for the intermittent CW !

G3TLH
Long skip made it difficult. The GMs were having a lot
of fun though!

G3TXF
Scotland would have been the place to be for this CC! Atrocious local conditions for the first 1hr 10min, then wollop, the band opens suddenly to the locals again for a frantic final twenty minutes.

G3VCA
The usual deep qsb & much qrm as expected for January. The band stabalise aftger 9pm. Icom 756PRO111 & 2wave deltaloop

G3VDB
Winter QSB, watery signals, some long skip and long gaps. A good evening as always.

G3VIP
RIG FT301S 10W - 40M LW - Homebrew logger. Sigs weak at start then 2030 someone flicked the switch and sigs came way up G3OLB 9 + 60 same as local stn it's hard to believe it was 100W?? Worked 10 GM's all very good sigs.

G3VMW
Conditions very poor for inter-G at the start but picked up considerably later. Probably too late to catch the GMs who were enjoying the longer skip at the start.

G3VPW
Weak and watery G sigs. for the first hour GMs doing very well. Band perked up inter G for the last few minutes. Good fun as usual mostly S&P need to practice more running !

G3VQO
Strange conditions - first 45 minutes could only hear Scotland then 15 minutes of very weak signals in deep QSB. Finally after an hour it was like somebody pulled a "big switch" and everybody appeared as normal Achieved a good S&P rate at the end but could not make up lost ground.

G3WRR
Rig - IC7800 @ 10W. Antenna - 50ft longwire 5ft up at one end 20ft the other. Didn't come on until 2030.....skip initially long (most QSOs with GM). Worked all I could hear through S9 barff from neighbour's plasma TV. Was about to give up when signals came right up and skip shortened - surprisingly good
for January after that. There are some ops with good ears out there who can hear my 10W to micro antenna - well done chaps!

G3WVG
Some big signals and some teeny weeny signals

G3WYW
Strong NS path but poor EW e.g. GM 599+ no GW heard.
Used SD V13.3E not the latest but performed perfectly.

G3YEC
Nice to see everyone back. Conditions here in North
Essex not so good begining lot of fading. Conditions
picked up towards the end.

G3YHV
All signals about s3 until the last 10 minutes then band opened up ! Very odd

G3YIQ
Good fun to get back into it again. Shame about the one very insistent dupe spoiling a pristine log!

G3YMC
Weird conditions. First hour nothing but GM making their way down here. At 2100 though propagation to G land returned so the last 15 minutes was the busiest. But obviously some people were doing much better....
Hopefully we will have more support from Bracknell in the other legs.

G3ZBU
Very ccccccold indeed! Condx terrible with S9 noise level.

G3ZGC/A
Very difficult for QRP except the last 25 minutes. when the band opened for G. Two stations stole my frequency during the contest. Running 10w from IC775DSP to dipole up 50 ft at G3LLK's FB QTH. Sorry no frequency readout this rig to my PC. QSO number 28 wanted a chat so I have no counted him for points!

G3ZRJ
First 30 mins more radio-telepathy than radio telegraphy  conditions improved towards end of contest.

G4ABX
Lots of QSB
Conditions for QRP from the MIdlands were not great!

G4AIU
Hvy QRN on 80m tonight in IO80.

G4BUO
34 minutes late starting and I soon realised that the inverted L
was not the right antenna to have connected so I had to go out in minus 3 degree temperature and connect the dipole. Conditions seemed to pick up for the last hour and in the end this session was not as bad as some of the January ones have been

G4BZP
Good condx last 30 minutes

G4DBW
a contest of two halves - first half s9 QRN GM's only second half s2 qrn G's only

G4DDL
just got on for a few minutes at the end. Local QSOs seemed quite hard for me. Flex RX was excellent.Sorry no QRG no i/f

G4DDX
As usual the GM and europe stations had a ball but G stations picked up around 2100. Very noisy and seemed fewer stations on. Used SD which performed perfectly as usual.

G4EBK
Very noisey at start but picked half way through
and I ended up with a reasonable score.

G4FKA
Ah yes January conditions return with a vengeance. Propagation to loosen the ears and test the mettle after far too much Christmas pudding. Happy new year to all; it has to get better. At least the GMs enjoyed it!

G4FNL
Nice and busy for the first one of the season. Lot's of
long skip which favoured certain parts of the country.
Rig = FT1000MP Ant = 80m horizontal loop or 80m
doublet. Hope to see you all in the next one......
