2nd 50MHz Contest of 2005

A fine, sunny morning greeted some of the contestants this year. Others were not so lucky, experiencing a cold misty morning. The majority of entrants agreed that the level of UK activity seemed higher than usual. However, there was little DX around as can be seen in the results table.

The standard of logging was generally excellent with two thirds of the entrants losing 1% or less of their score due to logging errors. However, two stations managed to lose over 25% of their claimed score.

Congratulations to the Northern Lights Contest Group (GD0EMG) for winning the Open section by a massive margin. The runner-up was Paul Brockett, G1LSB/P.

Congratulations to Bryn Llewellyn, G4DEZ for winning the Single Operator (Fixed) section by a large margin. Roger Piper, G3MEH was the runner-up.
