144MHz Backpackers Championship of 2005

A total of sixty-nine stations (ten more than 2004) competed for the 144MHz Backpackers Championship this year. The top four stations in the table ended up separated by approximately 10% of their points total with the top two stations (G0KYS and GW4IDF) separated by less than 1.6%.

Congratulations to Bob Edgar (G0KYS) and Garth Matthews (G0GVI) who operated as G0KYS/P for winning the 144MHz Backpackers Championship for 2005. The Malvern Hills 'B' team of Dave Hobro (G4IDF) and Dan Esdale (G0RMX) operating as GW4IDF/P were the runners-up for the second year running.

This year, Ralph Gault, 2I0RPM/P, receives the Leading Intermediate Station certificate. The Leading Foundation License certificate goes to Paul Swingewood, M3CVU/P.
