70MHz Cumulative Contest 2010

Just as 2009 which was a bumper year for entries, this year has yet again produced the highest ever entry level for this contest. With 50 entries, 262 active stations & a total of 2,600 QSO's over the 5 sessions. The dates & some of the times were changed this year to spread some sessions throughout the summer months as a result of requesting feedback from all 2009 entrants. Unfortunately there was no sporadic E during any of the summer sessions & generally conditions were reported to be rather flat so let's hope for good conditions in 2011. There was a noticeable decline in activity for the fourth session, it appears there was more interest in a certain football match between England & Germany! Many thanks to all entrants & those who were on to give away a few points.

The Flight Refuelling ARS retain their winning position in the Open section with Eddie, G0EHV/P as runner-up. Bryn, G4DEZ jumps from runner-up to winning position this year in the Single Operator Fixed section with John, G4ZTR as runner-up.
