| Single Op Fixed (SF) |
Stations must operate from permanent and substantial buildings located at the main station address as shown on the licence validation document. The spirit of the contest will be paramount. |

| Single Op Others (SO) |
Single Operators not located at a fixed station address as defined in the SF section. Stations not operating as a fixed station must use the /P callsign suffix. This does not preclude the use of /A or /M where appropriate. |

| Open (O) |
This section is for portable stations and multi-operator fixed stations Stations not operating as a fixed station must use the /P callsign suffix. Entrants may omit the /P suffix if using a special contest callsign, that is callsigns consisting of a single 'G' or 'M', a regional locator (if operating outside England) and a single suffix letter. This does not preclude the use of /A or /M where appropriate. |

| 6 hours Single Op Fixed (6S) |
Rules as per section "SF" except stations may choose any continuous 6 hour period in which to operate (e.g. 1500-2100, or 1917-0117). Alternatively you may split the 6 hour period into two segments separated by at least 1 hour off time. Serial numbers must start at 001 for this 6 hour period, and you cannot enter both this section and the full contest. In multi-band contests the same single 6 hour period must be used on all bands. |

| Special Rules for this Contest | |||
| S7 | This contest runs concurrently with all or part of an IARU co-ordinated contest. You may submit a single set of logs for entry to both the RSGB and IARU events. Entries will be submitted to the IARU event unless you specifically request otherwise but please note that electronic logs not in REG1TEST EDI format may be rejected by the IARU adjudicators. For IARU organised VHF/UHF contests, overseas stations are expected to enter via their own IARU society and the RSGB will not accept overseas entries for these contests. |
