RSGB Contest Results HQP #1 RTTY 2020

RTTY Hope QSO Party: 15th May 2020

The fifth and final RTTY Hope QSO Party for HQP Series #1 attracted 93 logs (93 in the first event, 110 in the second, 93 in the third, and 92 in the fourth) from 17 countries (CT, DL, F, G, GI, GM, GU, GW, I, OH, ON, PA, SM, UA, VE, W and YO). The number of non-entering participants was 55.

The most popular section is UK Low with 43 entries. UK High attracted 14 entries and UK QRP attracted 8 entries. The DX sections attracted a total of 27 logs with DX Low being the most popular with 19 entries.

Congratulations to Nigel G3TXF for winning the UK High section. David G3YYD was the runner up by only 72 points out of a possible 5000 points.

In the DX High section, the winner was Alexandru YO9HP and the runner up was Dennis W1UE.

John GW4SKA was the winner in the UK Low section with Bryan G3RLE as the runner up.

The Leading Intermediate Station in the UK Low section was Bob 2E0OBO.

The run-away winner in the DX Low section (gaining the maximum of 5000 points) was Anton ON6NL. The runner up was Lars SE4E.

In the UK QRP section, the winner was Tim G4ARI with Rob MW0CVT in the runners up spot.

The Leading Foundation Station in the UK QRP section was Jonathan M7RSC.

Finally, Ad PA0AWH was the winner in the DX QRP section and Sergei YL3FW was the runner up.

The second HQP series starts with a SSB event on Monday 18th May at 0830 UTC. The first RTTY HQP of the second series is on Monday 25th May starting at 0830 UTC.
