1.3GHz UKAC 2025 - DECEMBER & WHOLE YEAR RESULTS

The number of clubs taking part in the 1.3GHz UKAC series this year was 50: 22 in the General Club section and 27 in the Local Club section. Overall this was 6% down on 2024, with a decrease of 17% in the Local Club section offset by an increase of 10% in the General Club section. Conversely the total number of different callsigns submitting entries across the year was 196 (32 section AO, 60 section AR and 104 section AL) - overall 5% up on 2024. Taken together these figures suggest a consolidation of club membership in 2025.

The month-by-month figures for number of entries, number of callsigns appearing in logs and big squares worked were, as in 2024, closely correlated - perhaps surprisingly so. The overall picture was a rise from the beginning of the year to a significant peak in May and decline steadily thereafter until the end of the year. The May peak seems to have been influenced by a tropo opening to Scandinavia, although not all entrants experienced it. The average monthly figures were as follows: entries - 92 / different callsigns appearing in entrants' logs - 142 / big squares appearing in entrants' logs - 35. These were very similar to the 2024 figures.

Looking at the club results, in the General Club section the winner was Parallel Lines CG with Northern Fells CG runner up. In the Local Club section, Northampton RC took first place followed by runner up Bolton Wireless Club.

Moving on to individual results, the Open section winner was G4ODA followed by runner up G3XDY. In the Restricted section, the winner was G4CLA (winner every year since 2016...), with G8CUL as runner up. In the Low Power section, the winner was F1BHL/P with G3SQQ as runner up. F1BHL/P also earns a certificate for providing the greatest number of ODXs to other entrants.
