Conditions were very flat for this contest, with the worst conditions that John Quarmby, G3XDY can remember. However, congratulations are due to John for managing to balance 23 and 13cm and win the single operator sections of both bands. The Northern Lights chose to return to North Yorkshire for this event - not a conventional decision for a microwave contest with flat conditions and low UK activity. However, this nearly payed off, and they were only narrowly edged out by the Villa CG who won both bands in the multi operator sections and take the trophies.
Andy Cook, G4PIQ.
