1st 50MHz Backpackers Contest of 2002
Eight competitors competed in the 1st 50MHz Backpackers contest of 2002. This contest is run along side the IARU and RSGB 24 hour events and the QRM from the higher power stations made conditions difficult for most of the Backpacker stations. However, all entrants managed to work plenty of DX.
Congratulations to Peter Lowrie, GI7JYK, for winning the 3W Single Operator section, to Tim Boon, M0AFC, for winning the 10W Single Operator section and finally to the One Man and His Dog Contest Group, G8NWM/P, for winning the 10W Multi-operator section. All section winners and runners-up will receive certificates. There were no entries for the 3W Multi-operator section
