Microwave UK Activity Contest of 2005

The twelve sessions of the Microwave UK Activity Contest (UKAC) attracted an entry of 15 stations on 23cm and 6 on 13cm. As is usual on these bands, the low (but dedicated) level of activity meant that every QSO was precious.

On 23cm, the clear winner in the Open Section was the South Birmingham Radio Society, G8OHM. Dave Austin, G1EHF/P was the runner-up.

In the Single Operator Fixed station section on 23cm, the winner was John Quarmby, G3XDY with Neil Whiting, G4BRK in the runners-up position.

In the Single Operator Section on 13cm, the winner by a narrow margin was John Quarmby, G3XDY with Neil Whiting, G4BRK in the runners-up position.

Dave Austin, G1EHF/P, won the Open Section on 13cm.

The Leading Overseas Station on both 23cm and 13cm was Frank Laanen, PE1EWR.
