2006 144 Mhz Low Power Contest - Correction

Below-average activity and conditions accompanied by deep qsb were the most frequent comments. In contrast, some club stations expressed delight in using this opportunity to introduce their newer members to the pleasures of contest working, without needing to deploy vast resourses. Logging accuracy varied, with only 5 logs proving to be error-free. Six entrants had difficulty inputting the correct date or time period to their logging programs. No penalties were awarded this time, but entrants are encouraged to undertake a check of, at least, this basic data before submitting their logs.

Winner of the Open (O) section is the Colchester Contest Group G0VHF/P, with the A1 Contest Group G4ZAP/P in second place. These two stations were substantially ahead of rest of the field. ODX for this section goes to G0VHF/P with EA2RL/P at 1030 km. In the Single Operator Fixed (SF) section, the very clear winner is Bryn Llewellyn G4DEZ, followed by Bob Harrison G8HGN in second place and Roger Piper G3MEH, just behind him. ODX in this section was achieved by Roy Wormall G1CDO - netting DF0CI at 826 km. In the Single Operator Other section, the clear leader was Dave Heathcote G0AOD/P, with Dave Hewitt GW8ZRE/P in second place. ODX in this section goes to Tony Judge G1ARU/P with F6SGT/P at 606 km. Certificates are awarded to winner and runner-up in each section, plus James Beatwell 2E1GUA - leading Intermediate licensee and Frank Laanen PE1EWR - leading overseas entrant.
