2nd 70MHz Contest (September) 2006



Band conditions were reported as flat with deep QSB at the start of this contest. Towards the end of the session, conditions appeared to improve. Activity was judged to be "good" by several of the entrants.

The weather was as usual very variable depending on your location - from hot to mist and rain!

The standard of logging was generally high with the majority of errors being caused by the miscopying of QTH information and Locators.

Congratulations to Trev Harris, G2KF/P for winning the Open section with the Newquay & District Amateur Radio Society, G4ADV/P as the runner-up.

In the Single Operator Fixed section, the runaway winner was Bryn Llewellyn, G4DEZ with Bill Capstick, G3JYP in second place.
