1st 50MHz contest 2008

Poor radio conditions, poor weather, it had to be a contest weekend. Portable stations used few words to describe things - cold, wet, windy being the most common and repeatable. Nevertheless, almost 250 callsigns appear on the logs, so there was considerable activity.

The band leaders caught the best of the fleeting dx, with OE and IK worked and EA `gotaway', although these didn't distort the overall results.

Congratulations and certificates to G2KF and G4DEZ as section leaders, and G4RFR (Flight refuelling club) and G4ODA as runners-up and G4XPE as the leading low power/single aerial fixed station. Thanks to all who entered and joined in and to G3MEH for his checklog.
