Comments from the logs:
G0IBE/P
Sunny
G1ARU/P
Superb WX and conditions not too bad
G3BPK/P
Mixed WX. Sunny a.m., heavy rain showers p.m. Thought the propagation to Europe would have been better since many beacons heard. Unfortunately not the case. Still enjoyed the contest.
G3CWI/P
Good fun. Everything went to plan for a change. Introduction of "real" backpackers section is very welcome; thanks VHFCC!
G4VRC/P
Mostly hot and sunny but strong wind at times making difficult to keep beam on correct heading. Good to work five GM from the South Downs this time. Could not get several strong NFD stations including GI to hear me, but worked several weak stations after NFD had finished. Little late starting due to watching Red Arrows over Goodwood while setting up! A great day, thank-you everyone.
G4XZL/P
Good conditions to GM, poor activity on continent Very disappointing activity during last hour
G6GVI
Giving away some points to the portable stations after I'd unpacked all the NFD station.
G7IVF/P
Propagation getting poorer in last hour
G8DOH/P
Not great, but at least escaped the rain.
G8JAY/P
Good to the North, got wet again.
GW4IDF/P
Rain static took noise level to S9 for at least a half hour
GW4RWR/P
Guy ropes snagged, could only beam north or south!
GW8ZRE/P
Fair only one EU DX Belgium. Enjoyable day, only one shower of rain.
M0OZH/P
Last Hour only
M0REG/P
The weather was warm and dry, but rather windy! Radio conditions were reasonable. The mast stayed up, despite never having been tried in the wind before. This was our first Backpackers attempt, and everything went very smoothly.
M1EYP/P
Mainly a nice sunny afternoon. QTH busy with British Heart Foundation charity event. A couple of ON and DL heard, but only one work. Good sigs from GM, but nothing from GI/EI/GD
