144MHz Low Power 2009

A bumper entry level for 2009. A total of 46 entries, the highest ever for this contest. This is over 70% higher than last year which continues the upwards trend of VHF/UHF contesting in the UK. 333 different stations were active during the contest in what was described by most as poor conditions. The weather was also very wet with storms reported but what would you expect for an August weekend in the UK! Congratulations to the following:

  • Winner - Open section - Colchester CG of Colchester RA (G0VHF/P)
  • Runner-up - Open section - A1 Contest Group (G4ZAP/P)
  • Winner - Single Operator Fixed section - Rob Harrison (G8HGN)
  • Runner-up - Single Operator Fixed section - Bryn Llewellyn (G4DEZ)
  • Winner - Single Operator Others section - Erik Gedvilas (M0SDA/P)
  • Runner-up - Single Operator Others section - Chris Partington (G0CLP/P)
