A lively contest, with widespread activity. One log noted that it was the first time that signals had been heard on 6m for weeks; certainly it appears that the operators and equipment are in place. There was a flurry of interest and activity in the final few minutes with a Es lift.

In the single operator section, multipliers had a significant effect on the overall placings; normally the raw points score reflects the table placings very closely. In the Midlands, G4SEU collected most multipliers to gain top place ahead of G4DEZ while GD4IOM and G4TSW (in Devon) showed that being in the West is not always a handicap.

Not for the first time, GD4IOM provided the best dx for many entrants and they had a clear lead in section M despite losing over a third of the contest in a power failure. Hands up, who bribed the electricity board?
