This contest coincided with VHF NFD. This meant that several of the regular entrants were missing due to NFD 'duties'. Even so, 21 stations managed to put in an entry.
M1BAR/P commented "An excellent day for a contest, both weather wise, and radio conditions. Being NFD, it was nice to work some stations outside the UK". These sentiments were echoed by many entrants. However, several stations commented that although the band appeared to be very busy, it was difficult to maintain a high QSO rate due to the QRM from the NFD stations!
