432 MHz Trophy 1998 Results

Once again, conditions were far from spectacular for this contest, but nevertheless some good DX was worked by many of the entrants. Ths year Mr. Murphy decided to move from the Kent coast to the North Norfolk cost, giving the Parallel Lines, G4LIP/P a relatively smooth contest, but causing the Northern Lights, G0EMG/P to be a couple of hours late in getting started. This enabled the Lines to ease the 1951 Council Cup from the steamy mits of the Lights.

In the single operator section, amongst a somewhat depleated field, Steve Redfern, G4AEQ takes the top honours, with Paul Masterman, G3RHH taking 2nd place with just 25W and a single antenna.

Andy Cook, G4PIQ.
