- Do spot DX you have worked or heard when tuning the band for the benefit of all. Please see VHF General Rule 4h for further details..
- Do use the DX cluster to help you find DX during the contest
- Don't use the DX cluster to help the DX find you (e.g. by self spotting)
- Don't ask other stations that you work to "please spot me"
- Don't spot DX you've just worked on your frequency
- Don't just spot your fellow team member (if operating in club/team/multi band contests e.g. UKAC, AFS, VHF NFD etc.) Please spot a wide selection of stations - we don't expect to see your list of spots dominated by members of your own team
- No attempt should be made during the QSO to obtain any part (including asking for a repeat or conformation of information) of the required exchange information via other communication methods such as the Internet chat channel, DX Cluster, talk-back on another amateur band, telephone etc.. Any such attempt to use other communication methods (internet chat, DX Cluster etc.) invalidates the contest QSO. Self-spotting on the DX Cluster network is not permitted during the contest.
