RSGB Contest Results 144MHz May Contest 2013

Activity levels for this year’s contest were about the same as last year, although entry numbers are up slightly. Stations in 30 UK locator squares were active. Regular entrant’s hopes of good conditions in this contest had their hopes dashed once more as conditions were generally reported as flat.

The winners of the Open Section, for the second year running, are the Blacksheep CG, M0BAA/P, with an increased score from last year , from A1 CG, G4ZAP/P in second place.

In the SF Section, Roger, G3MEH was 1st from Joe G0JJG in 2nd place.

In the Single Operator Open Section Dale, G3XBY/P is in 1st place with an entry that included the best DX of the contest, an MS burst QSO with 9A2L at 1,631Kms. Michael, M0ICK/P is in 2nd place.

Richard GD8EXI is 1st in the very well supported 6S Section, with entries up from 19 last year to 28 this year. Andy GM4JR is in 2nd place. 4 countries are represented in the top 6 places in this section.

There was a Northern Fells CG show down in the 6O Section, fought between Chris, G4FZN/P (who made 37 QSOs on FM) who came out in 1st, place and Eddie, G0EHV/P in 2nd , both stations were single op.
