4th 144 MHz Backpackers Contest 2015.

Eighteen entries for this, the penultimate session of the 2m Backpackers series of contests.

Those in the Northern part of the England suffered with a rather wet & windy time, not ideal for backpacker style contesting but persevered in the true spirit of portable contesting! Activity was rather sparse at times & conditions were relatively flat.

M0BAO/P (section 10H) worked the best DX with PA0PVW at 625km.

The Backpackers Trophy will be awarded to the leading station is section 3B with the best three normalised scores out of the five sessions.

Congratulations go to certificate winners as below:

  • Runner-Up, Section 3B: Dave (G4IDF) & Dan (G0RMX) as GW4IDF/P

  • Runner-Up, Section 10H: Ashley, M0BAO/P
  • Leading Intermediate Licensee, Section 3B: Mike 2E0PWL/P
