RSGB Contest Results Second 70MHz Contest 2012

2nd 70MHz Contest 2012

Entry level was at an all time high for this contest. 34 entries received with 108 stations active on the band including EI, LX, ON & PA. Several stations reported flat conditions but weather was sunny & kind to the portable stations. Best DX was during the contest was between G3TCU/P in IO91 & GM0USI in IO76 at 594km.
Congratulations go to certificate winners as below:

  2. Runner-Up Open – Phil Guttridge (G3TCU) & Trevor Brook (G3WBQ) as G3TCU/P

  4. Runner-Up Single Operator Fixed – Roger Piper, G3MEH
  5. Leading Fixed Station Running 25W Or Less To a Single Antenna – Robert Brown, G8BUN
  6. Leading Single Operator Fixed Section Foundation Licensee – Brian Jones, M6OXO
  7. Leading Overseas Station – Marc Opdecam ON5VW
