RSGB Contest Results 2021
v4.145 by G4CLA

SHF UKAC November 2021

North - South paths seemed to be suffering from particularly poor conditions this month, but activity levels were generally good.

Annual Summary

75 stations entered on 2.3GHz this year (up 4), but 3.4GHz entry levels dropped slightly from 36 to 34 this year after a large rise in 2020. 5.7GHz activity picked up to 26 entries, a 15% increase, and 10GHz increased from 36 to 39 entries. More portable operation was a feature of this year as Covid lockdowns eased.

No reports of interference to the primary user on 2320MHz have been received again this year.

This year was notable for more instances of good rain scatter propagation on the higher bands, particularly 10GHz.

Congratulations to Pete G4CLA who retains the G3UVR Trophy as the overall winner of the SHF events.

No changes to the rules are envisaged for 2022.

Stations wishing to take part in the 2.3GHz events are reminded that they should register their station with Ofcom, and also hold the relevant notice of variation if they wish to use 2300-2302MHz.
