2nd 1.8 MHz contest 2018

The 2nd 1.8MHz Contest in 2018 attracted 83 entries, a reduction of 9% from last year and causing a few entrants to bemoan the absence of some regulars. 6 check-logs were also received. Whilst conditions were generally reported to be good, there was very little DX available although the leading stations managed to equal or better 2017's top scores.

As usual, the battle for the Victor Desmond Trophy, awarded to the highest scoring UK& CD station (regardless of section), was very competitive with just three points separating the winner Dave, G3TBK, and Clive, GM3POI, in second place.

In the Non-UK sections, Leif, 8S0DX, once again comfortably prevailed in the Assisted category and OK1DCS was the first placed Unassisted entrant.
