RSGB Contest Results 80m CC DATA 2018
v4.158 by G4CLA

The final session of the 80m CC data section contest has resulted in a fine win in the 100w section for G3TBK who was well ahead of second place station G0ORH with G4OGB hot on his heels. In the 10w section M0RTB/P took the honours with M7V and G4ABX taking second and third places respectively. Well done to all especially enduring the often mentioned high temperatures in the shack.

With these results in, the final position in the tables is now revealed. Our congratulations go to Norfolk ARC who romped away with a huge margin from De Montfort University ARS with a fine win in the General Club section. They will receive the Horace Freeman trophy for their efforts. The Local Club section will see Newbury and DARS lift the G5RV Memorial Shield with their commanding lead over the Tall Trees CG. G3TBK receives the RSGB 80m Challenge Trophy for being the Highest Scoring Individual UK&CD Entrant (all modes combined) - 100W or 10W Section (see 'Overall Individual Results' link). Congratulations to all the winners.

This ever present contest series now takes a break until 2019. The levels of participation are excellent and the HF Contest Committee hope you enjoyed taking part. We look forward to seeing you again in 2019.

This year saw the introduction of the RSGB Contest Club call sign G6XX being operated by various stations around the country. A contact with G6XX gave a welcome bonus of 5 points and there was keen action wherever G6XX was transmitting. Our thanks go to Nigel Brown G0GDA for operating G6XX for the final data session. Indeed the HF Contest Committee would like to thank all who operated G6XX throu ghout the year.
