RSGB Contest Results Low Power Contest 2012

The contest this year coincided with what was an unusually pleasant summers day for 2012. Competitors took the opportunity to operate from the beach, the highlands of Scotland or simply lounging in their gardens. The contest tests the tenacity of operators with weaker than normal signals.

Whilst most operators maintained accurate logs, with more variety in the information exchanged  this contest often picks up more logging errors than normal. With weaker signals it's normal for entrants to exchange true reports. Even so two stations lost over 20% of QSO's due to  logging the default 599 – could this be due to incorrect use of logging software?

Congratulations to G3HEJ, G5LP/P, G3VIP, GW4ARI/P for winning the 10W Fixed / Portable and 3W Fixed / Portable, each win the he 1930 Committee Cup,  The Houston-Fergus Trophy, The HFCC Trophy and The Southgate Trophy respectively.
