RSGB Contest Results Low Power Contest 2014

With a similar number of entrants in each category compared with last year competitors enjoyed fine weather across most of the UK, though some were troubled with thunderstorms which livened up the event! Conditions on 40m appear to of favoured entrants this year with a larger proportion of contacts being made on that band, particularly early afternoon. (see graphical statistical overview via the web results page)

Thanks to all the stations who took the time to operate from a portable location. G5LP/P  won the 10W Portable section logging more Q's than G3BJ the leader in the 10W Fixed section. G4ARI/P led the 3W Portable and G3SXW the 3W Fixed, both retain their trophies for another year.

G3BJ, G5LP, G3SXW, G4ARI win the  1930 Committee Cup,  Houston-Fergus Trophy, HFCC Trophy and Southgate Trophy respectively.

Next year Low Power Field Day will be on the 19th July (third week of the month), make a date in your diary and if you're not equipped for portable work how about assembling your capability over the winter period?
