RSGB Contest Results Low Power Contest 2015

This year saw a welcome increase in the number of participants, notably those in the two portable categories. Also noticeable was the appearance of a number of club callsigns operated by several members, great to see their participation.

Daytime propagation on 80m is limited, particularly with low power, even so a number of stations made the effort to spend some time on that band and their position in the results table reflects the benefit of that strategy.

Thanks to all the stations who took the time to operate from a portable location. G4FOX/P, Melton Mowbray ARS, operated by G3XYC, won the 10W Portable section, G0ORH led the 10W Fixed section.  Congratulations to G3GWB/P (G4CZB) who won the 3W Portable section, G4ARI chose to operate from a fixed location this year and went on to lead the 3W Fixed section. In both power categories the leading portable stations scored more points than their fixed counterparts.

G0ORH, G4FOX/P, G4ARI, G3GWB/P win the 1930 Committee Cup,  Houston-Fergus Trophy, HFCC Trophy and Southgate Trophy respectively.
