RSGB Contest Results Low Power Contest 2016   
v4.181 by G4CLA

A fine day rewarded those portable operators in the 2016 Low Power Field Day event. This year there were 44 total log submissions, slightly up on last year, 30% were in the portable categories. The 20m band was introduced this year, feedback from entrants and the number of contacts indicate that the number of contacts on 20m was low. Further evidence from next years event will determine if we keep 20m in the mix.

Thanks to all the stations who took the time to operate from a portable location. GM3BSQ/P, Aberdeen ARS, operated by MM0JOM and GM3WIJ, won the 10W Portable section, G0ORH led the 10W Fixed section.  Congratulations to G4ARI/P who won the 3W Portable section, G3VIP led the 3W Fixed section. In both power categories the leading portable stations scored more points than their fixed counterparts.

G0ORH, GM3BSQ/P, G3VIP, G4ARI/P win the 1930 Committee Cup,  Houston-Fergus Trophy, HFCC Trophy and Southgate Trophy respectively.
