RoLo SSB 2017

This was the second running of this event using locators in place of postcodes, the total number of stations active was slightly up on last year at 102, of which 26 were from outside the UK (all Europe), however only two submitted an entry.

Joe Ryan EI7GY was again the highest placed non-UK station and receives a certificate. Nick Garbett M1DDD operating portable from IO93DH is the leading UK station, followed closely by Graham Bubloz G4FNL. The highest placed error-free log was submitted by Ron Pratt G4DDX and is therefore awarded the Verulam Silver Jubilee Trophy. There were only seven other error-free logs from G4FAL, M0RYB, M0XDX, G4IDF, GW4W, GM4M and MM0RYR.

One error occurring several times this year was a zero logged in place of an 'O' in the locator, as noted in one of the soapbox comments, keyboard skills are an important part of the overall operating expertise.
