Many thanks for check logs received from M0KEA
Apart from some QSB and the usual QRN on 80m, band conditions appeared to be generally good which was reflected in the low mean error rate of 1.5 per log and an increased number of entries compared to the last three years. 124 different stations appear in the logs with 26 of them from outside the UK&CD.
Noticeable this year were the number of stations, all but one non-entrants, who hadn't grasped the concept of rotating locators and sent their own locator for every contact. Fortunately most of these made just a few contacts so this didn't result in the same locator being passed back and forth at the end as has happened in the past. I did hear one station attempting to explain to a non-UK station that the previously received locator was required not the operator's own locator, but I don't know whether this was understood!
In first place this year with 700 points is Graham G4FNL followed by David G3TBK on 610 points in second and Sandra G0MCV in third with 530 points. Despite the low mean error rate this year there were only six error free logs, the highest scoring of these was submitted by Bryn G3SWC who is therefore awarded the Verulam Silver Jubilee Trophy. The other five error free logs were from G0IJM, G4CZB, M2D (G4NVR), G8FMC and G8VPE. There were three entries from outside the UK&CD, the highest placed is Eric PA3N who receives a certificate.
