International Sprint SSB -- April
There was a disappointing level of support for this contest, described by one entrant as a walk, and then a crawl. Apart from the home participants, there was a little continental and transatlantic activity, but not sufficient to provide the stream of QSOs that characterises the North American Sprints. Perhaps we can spread the word later this year in the Autumn Sprints.
Some of those who persisted, with enough patience to stay on air for the full four hours, worked around forty stations. Congratulations to the winner in the low power Section, 2E0KVJ in Devon, and to the winner in the high power Section, M9A - the Contest Call of G3ZVW, also in Devon.
A special mention should be made of I2WIJ, who was a regular supporter of these contests when they were organised by the EU Sprint Gang. We hope to see everyone for the next Sprints on the 24th September (CW), and on the 5th November (SSB):
