RSGB Contest Results 144MHz AFS 2011
v4.158 by G4CLA

For this year's contest the AFS team size has been changed from 5 members to 4 as part of a initiative to align the rules of all the AFS contests in the AFS Super League. However this change did not affect the name on the 2011 trophy, which is Trowbridge & DARC. They moved up from 2nd place in 2009 and 2010 to beat previous winners Chesham & DARS into second place by a comfortable margin.

This year's entry level was slightly down on last year's record breaking total, even so many clubs managed to field multiple teams and those champions of VHF contest participation, the Bolton Wireless Club, even managed an“E” team this year. A number of others were not far behind including Trowbridge, Wythall and Camb-Hams all managing to enter at least 3 teams each.

Generally condition were reported to be poor, although some did mange a few DX contacts .Scores  were down on last year, although G0KPW found conditions to France good enough to take advantage of the coincident French contest and heads the SF section with a big score. In 2nd place is  Spadling & DARS team member G4ODA.

In the Others Section, there was a close fight at the top between G4TSW and last year's winner, M0GHZ/P. G4TSW located near Tiverton won out to take the top spot, partly due to a better points per QSO ratio from their more westerly site.
