RSGB Contest Results 1st 144MHz Backpackers 2018

1st Backpackers Contest

The general consensus was flat but hot.  Typically the excellent tropo of the previous week had fully dissipated by the time of this contest.

Twelve entrants in each of the 5B and 25H sections made both good numbers of QSOs and distances.  The results again show that location is a major factor for the top stations with Steve (G1YBB) trekking up his Welsh mountain all alone to outscore all the 25W stations and many in the  higher power concurrent May 2m contest.
