2nd Backpackers 2013

The entry level was well up for this contest compared to last year, continuing the trend of the Backpackers contests this year.

Conditions were described as good by some and flat by others.   The weather was generally reported as good, but with a cool breeze on the hills.

Congratulations to Steve Marsh, G4TCU/P, for winning the Backpackers section, with Simon Gosby, GW8OVZ/P, taking second place.

Dave Hewitt, GW8ZRE/P, took the top spot in the Hilltoppers section.   Ashley Edwards, M0BAO/P, was the runner-up.

After the results of two events (with three still to go) Rhys Thomas, GW4RWR/P, is currently leading the Backpackers section in the Backpacker Championship tables.   Dave Hewitt, GW8ZRE/P, leads the Hilltoppers section.
