3rd 144 MHz Backpackers Contest 2015.

A lower entry level for this, the third session of the 2m Backpackers series of contests. However, several of the usual entrants were taking part in VHF Field Day which runs in parallel with part of the Backpackers contest. With the high level of VHF Field Day activity, there were plenty of contacts available. For many, the weather conditions were far from ideal for portable activity with heavy rain, wind & thunder storms.

The best DX during the contest was worked by section 10H winner G8BGV/P to DR4M at a distance of 779km.

The Backpackers Trophy will be awarded to the leading station is section 3B with the best three normalised scores out of the five sessions.
