RSGB Contest Results 70MHz Cumulatives 2012

A very good entry level again for the 70 MHz Cumulative Contests with 73 stations taking part. This year some entrants were able to take advantage of Sporadic E openings during the May & June sessions, with G3TCU working the greatest DX at 2855km to EA8BPX.

The top of the Open section table was very close run with session winners in the top 4 overall positions. Chris, G4FZN managed to take first place with his 2 session wins and a very close second for his 3rd qualifying session. Tim, G4FJK is in a very close 2nd place as last year.
In the Single Operator Fixed section, Dave G4ASR takes first place as last year by winning all 3 of his qualifying sessions. Runner-up, again repeating last years performance is John, G4ZTR who won the May session. An entry from Manuel, EA5TT (IM99) provided many UK stations with a welcome DX QSO.
