    RSGB Low Power Contest

    Main rule change for 2016 -- addition of 20 m band.

    This an event for QRP operators, providing a choice of fixed station operation or outdoor fun.

     
      1. KEY INFORMATION
     
    1(a) Frequencies & Mode Frequencies: 3510 - 3580 kHz, 7000 - 7040 kHz and 14000 – 14060 kHz
    All three bands may be used in each session.
    Mode: CW
    1(b) When? Date: 17th July 2016 (Sunday of the 3rd full weekend in July) Time (UTC): 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00
    Stations may be contacted once on each band.
    1(c) Exchange RST + Serial Number + Transmitted power.
    Serial numbers begin with 001 and continue through all three bands and both sessions.
    Power is expressed with 'W' as decimal point, e.g. '1W', '10W', '1W5'. For more than 10W send 'QRO'
    1(d) Scoring Contacts with Low Power Portable or Mobile stations: 15 points
    Contacts with Low Power Fixed stations: 10 points
    All other contacts: 5 points
    For the purposes of scoring, Low Power stations are those using 10W RF output or less.
    1(e) General Rules The HF General Rules apply to these contests
    1(f) Contest Callsigns UK Special Contest Calls (SCC) are not permitted, even for entrants who hold a valid NoV from Ofcom
     
      2. ADDITIONAL RULES
     
    2(a) Sections & Entrants There are four Sections for entrants, as follows --
             Section (A): Fixed stations, 10W RF output maximum
             Section (B): Portable stations, 10W RF output maximum
             Section (C): Fixed stations, 3W RF output maximum
             Section (D): Portable stations, 3W RF output maximum
    Entrants may be Single or Multi-operator
    2(b) Portable stations Definition: A Portable station is as defined in the HF General Rules.
    Antenna: Antennas used by Portable stations must not exceed 11m above ground and may have no more than two elevated supports.
     
      3. ENTRIES
     
    3(a) Method Entries must be submitted online or on paper, in accordance with the Entries section in the HF General Rules.
    3(b) Format Online entries must be in Cabrillo format. Example of Low Power Contest log.
    3(c) Entry Date No later than the deadline in the HF General Rules
