Contest Entry Terms and Conditions
By submitting your log entry, you give the RSGB explicit permission:
1. To cross-check your entry against other contest entries and check-logs
2. To score and/or rescore your entry
3. To publish, republish and distribute your score either separately or combined with other entrants' scores by any means including paper and electronic
4. To publish your name, call sign, soapbox comments, station details, Locator and abbreviated postcode as part of the results of this contest.
5. To amend, publish, republish, print, and otherwise distribute (by any means including paper or electronic) your entry either in its original format, in any other suitable format with or without modifications including publishing your entry as part of the "OpenLog" file for this contest
6. To permit the use of your entry as part of the "OpenLog" file by other contest sponsors/organisers to enable them to create other contest results
7. To retain your entry in its original format and in any other suitable format with or without modification for a period of not less than ten (10) years for the purpose of analysing contesting trends and for other reasons including training, development and the advancement of amateur radio
8. To contact you by post, email or telephone if there is an issue with your entry that requires clarification
9. To contact you you by post, email or telephone if you have won an award, trophy or certificate and to include your call sign and name (including name of group if applicable) in the Hall of Fame
10. Not used
11. To submit the relevant parts of your RSGB IOTA Contest entry (Call Signs and Island References & Island Names) to IOTA Ltd. for the purpose of crediting your contacts made during this contest to your Island total.
Right to withdraw Consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent granted to the RSGB to process your contest entry for this contest as detailed above by sending an email to the Chair of the RSGB Contest Support Committee from the email address you registered when you gave your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time up to the time the results of this contest are published on the RSGBCC website.
Data Protection
For the purposes of General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) and any national implementing laws, regulations and secondary legislation, as amended or updated from time to time, in the UK and any successor legislation to the GDPR or the Data Protection Act 1998, the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) is both the data controller and the data processor (where Data Controller and Data Processor have the meanings as defined in the GDPR).
