1.3GHz Trophy Contest

This contest, together with the sister 13cm Trophy Contest, form the final two events in the VHF Championship. The frequencies involved mean that they are usually quiet events and 2025 was no exception.

There were 40 entries (30 entries in 2024 and 41in 2023).

ODX in the Open Section was the G3M QSO with DM5D QSO at 825km and in SF the G3XDY with DG5NFF QSO at 773 km (last years ODX were both well over 1000km for reference).

The big story of this contest for most entrants was Storm Amy and dreadful radio conditions.. 'Storm Amy and on a hill top, complete madness' MW0LKX/P. 'Grim conditions, poor activity due to storm Amy. Painful!' G3XDY. 'Windy-first time ever everything got blown over during set up. Condx poor, activity low. ' G1HLT

This event is partly co-ordinated with a IARU Region 1 contest and the R1 logs were obtained and were used to assist with adjudication.
