RSGB AFS 432MHz Data Contest 2026

Firstly may I extend the Contest Committee's thanks to Graham Coomber G0NBI for his work on this and other contests, and I hope I can fill his shoes.

AFS is one of those contests that brings out the most competitive nature in the radio amateur and this is true for VHF as it is in HF. Last year saw a decline in entrants and this year also saw 10 fewer entrants with a total of 88 logs received. However, conditions this time around were not to many folks liking however some did manage to rack up an excellent score. 70cms is a tricky band and can favour some whilst ignoring the rest, C'est La Vie. Without further ado let us peruse the results

As it was last so it is this year as Cambs-Hams 'A' team lift the G0ODQ Trophy for the 14th consecutive time as the highest scoring Affiliated Society and once again Richard GD8EXI made it 14 times as the best Single Operator. The other places saw G4ODA and G3XDY mounting the podium once more albeit swapping the position.

In the Open section two new faces climb onto the podium whilst G4CWH, last year's second place was pushed back to third place. Congratulations to G8NEY & MW0LKX/P

A mention in dispatches is also necessary for our leading overseas stations, PE1EWR in the SO Fixed and F1MKG in the Open. Thank you for your participation.
