RSGB Contest Results 5th 144MHz Backpackers 2026
v4.191 by G4CLA

5th 144MHz Backpackers Contest - 6th September 2026

The 5th and final Backpackers competition saw 20 logs submitted in the two sections 5B, 7 logs, 25H, 11 logs and 2 Check logs. Reading through the soapboxes the WX was really appreciated although a few reported wet and windy for them and propagation was mostly good with tropospheric conditions to the continent. Overall, entrants enjoyed the event.

In section 5B, GW4CZB/P was first with a superb ODX of 1309km ahead of the second placed G4XZL/P with M0XPO/P in third spot.

In section 25H, G0EAK/P came in first place with second placed going to G8BGV/P and finally G8KQW/P took third place on the podium.

Congratulations to our winners and runners-up.
