MGM 2024

A much quieter event from last year, it would appear many entrants were only on for a limited time. For those stations on 6m the first noticeable Sporadic-E event of the year took place. It was workable by most of the UK stations into Central Europe. On 2m there was a mixture of comments, some reported average conditions some flat. Weather was classed as wet and windy.

The UK had reasonable weather for once unlike our European neighbours had wind and rain. The low may have had some bearing on the low turnout.

The 'Bill Somerville G4WJS Trophy' is awarded to Kevin M0AHN, and Steve M0AKT from the King Alfred Contest Group as the Overall Winner of the UK&CD Open Section (UKO).
