September 2026 80m Autumn Series SSB contest

136 stations entered the first SSB contest of the 2026 series, slightly fewer than last year but there were a further 63 appearing in the logs.

Entrants are reminded that all contests in the 80m Autumn Series have a 'Le Mans' start. This means that entrants must not transmit during the two minutes immediately before the contest start time or use any other method to reserve a frequency. Several stations were penalised for non-observance of this rule.

Entrants are also reminded that all contest exchanges must be completed before the end of the contest. A wide band SDR recording of the contest is used to check this and violation of the two minute radio silence before the start.

Thanks to Colin G3VCQ for running the bonus station G6XX. He made 135 QSOs from his station in Sheffield.

The next 80m Autumn Series contests are CW on Wednesday 16^th September and DATA on Thursday 24^th September, both starting at 1900 UTC.
