2nd 1.8 MHz contest 2021

The concluding event of this year's HF Championship attracted 122 entries plus 6 checklogs, slightly fewer than last year's record number but still well above the long-term average.  24 DXCCs appear in the overseas tables with non-UK&CD stations making up more than half of those submitting logs for adjudication

Conditions in the UK seemed to favour more northerly stations with Scotland topping both tables.  The Victor Desmond Trophy, awarded to the highest scoring UK&CD station (regardless of section), was won for the 16th time by Clive, GM3POI (GM3X) who topped the Assisted UK section, with Brian, G3UJE (G3U) and Dave, G3TBK (M7W) taking the other two podium places in that category.

The winner of the Unassisted UK section was Allan, GM4ZUK up two places from last year. The runner up was Gordon, MM0GPZ (MM2N) with John, G4CZB in third place.

In the Non-UK sections, Algis, LY7M, bettered his last year's runner up spot to win the Assisted Section with Jan, OM2XW and Leif, 8S0DX in second and third places respectively.

Finally, the first placed Unassisted station was Paul, EI5DI, runner up was Sam, SM3PZG and, in third place, Igor, R5WW.
